What is a Vampire Facial?

A vampire facial is a microneedling technique that infuses your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into areas of your face, resulting in tighter skin, plumper cheeks & lips, and a youthful appearance that will make people believe you’ve aged backward!

Platelets are the substance inside our plasma that forms into scabs when we’re cut and is responsible for the body’s healing process. When PRP is injected into your skin, your body begins forming new collagen cells that reinforce and support skin layers. This results in a new, glowing facial structure that will knock years off your appearance.

PRP and Microneedling Procedure

The vampire facial begins with a skin cleansing and the application of a topical anesthetic, which helps alleviate any discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Phong then draws a small amount of blood, typically from the arm.

A centrifuge prepares the PRP by separating it from the other red blood cells before it’s added to a syringe. We then use the syringe to perform a basic microneedling procedure, a technique that creates tiny micro-wounds while infusing PRP into the targeted skin areas. The entire vampire facial in Las Vegas takes about one hour to complete.

Vampire Facial Results

Results from vampire facials are not permanent but can last from one year to 18 months. Following that time period, you can elect to get another vampire facial which will enhance your results. Within 2-3 weeks, you’ll notice a new, radiating appearance and youthful glow in the treated areas.

Recovery and Aftercare

Do not wash your face immediately following the microneedling procedure. It’s vital that you allow the affected facial areas to rest for approximately 12 to 24 hours. This rest period allows your skin to heal, reinforcing your results and ensuring that your procedure reaches optimal levels.

You may experience minimal swelling and tenderness in the affected areas. Refrain from affecting the treated areas with heat (avoid blow-drying your hair) or sunlight for 24-hours following your treatment. After this brief recovery period, you may return to work and your normal schedule of activities without worrying about damaging your results.

Combination Procedures

Vampire Facial and Botox

Botox procedures compliment vampire facials nicely, and you can receive both treatments at the same time. Botox works to relax muscles beneath the skin that cause wrinkles such as forehead lines, frown lines, bunny lines, and crow’s feet. When combined, these two procedures help eliminate frown lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and other imperfections from the surface of the skin.
